Speedo question

I swapped in a sbc with700r trans and transfer case into my 89 yj.
My question or problem is that the factory speedo is cable driven form the transfer case and the chevy is electronic, what have you other folks out there down to overcome this. I know some one hereon the forum has come up with something to get around this other than spending $200.00 + on an after market speedo.

I thought I had was trying another speedo out another vehicle, but not sure if it has to be from a chevy or if any one would work. Any thought or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Jim

Are all year YJs cable operated? An electronic speedo and signal converter like Dakota Digital SGI-5 ($50) will solve your issue I have an SGI-5 on my Vette with a late model T56 trans. Works slick!

Thanks for the info will definitely look at that avenue, when I get close enough to needing it. Hopefully in a week or two.
