Running passenger side drop axle

Well, apparently its possible to flip a np231. Talked to a guy locally, who has a 97 Chev 2500 and an NP231C that he flipped because he did a straight axle in the front with a pass side drop and 37s. I was always under the assumption that you cant flip this because the oil pump would not work correctly.

Can you flip a NP231J that us wranglers and Cherokees use? The difference cant be that big between the two can it?

Even if you can flip it, I dont understand how the linkage would work anymore since its all well...... actual linkage not electronic with solenoids.

No he didnt flip it, the 231 was PROBABLY made in pass drop as well, I'd guess Chevys since it's a 231C.

My TJ is now passenger drop, read my build thread.

If you're serious about your Jeep build you won't run the POS chain driven weak aluminum cased oil pump driven NP231.

Get a D300 and a clocking ring so it doesn't hang down if you want to do it cheap and not kill your t-case in the process.
