running hot

Im sure theres threads out about this, but i was up in the hills last night playing in the snow and my xj was running hot. Over 210 around 230 . Its cooled down when i would take it out of 4 hi. It didnt seem that the electric fan was kicking on

Try replacing the thermostat. Let it run till the fan kicks round 210 or a lil over. Fan doesn't kick on, there's your issue. Need new fan

Rather be tried by 12, than carried by 6.

Thanks, i think the fans bad. Thr guy i got the jeep from said he just replaced thr thermastat. It got hot a bit around 230 and never kicked on. I poped the hood and let the snow air to cool it down
