Questions about SYE for 05 LJ

I can't afford the downtime for a custom DS to be made.
The only one i've found is from Rubicon Express, but it has a flange at the Tcase. As i understand it, just installing a flange on the stock output shaft is not recommended.

Anybody know of a SYE/CV shaft combo readily available online?

I have a 4.5" RE short arm lift, but i also have a 33 engineering Tcase skid. So i guess that's about the equivalent of 6" of lift.

Hey buddy, I also have an 05 LJ... I'm also planning to install a tummy tuck skid plate to eliminate the shovel...

Hows that 33 Enginering skid plate doing? Have you heard of Rokmen's? I'm planning on getting it

I haven't installed the 33Eng yet...the shovel has a 1.25" drop, so the 33 would need about 3.5" spacers (even w/ the high clearance mount) b/c the trans mount is flush w/ the frame rail mounts, the shovel has a 3.5" drop between the frame and mount. I gotta wait for the SYE...

i'm interested to see how that looks when you're done. that 42RLE is gonna hang down low. I know my tranny pans hangs down almost below the JeepMedic (2" lower than frame).

I have the 42RLE Auto and I installed an Nth Degree Tummy Tucker... Nothing is hanging on mine... I don't see why the 33 would leave anything 'hanging'??

dunno, just thought it might be a consideration...havent seen an Nth on a 42RLE. It looked great on the 5-speed I saw however.

Where is your tranny pan in relationship to the t-case skid? does it hang down to about even?

EDIT: Photo of my 42RLE in relation to the JeepMedic & frame, you can see the oil pan to the far left.

Ok, I see what you mean about "hanging"... Though, it's sitting much higher than it would be if it still had the 'shovel'.

Mine (Nth) sits about the same (in relation to each other) as yours. I just think that the Nth lifts the transfer case up higher than the Jeep Medic...

Here is a pic. Sorry, I'm a crappy photographer... LOL...

The RED is the oil pan, the GREEN is the tranny, the ORANGE line is the relation between the skid and the tranny.
