pinion preload Help

I just did a regear on a dana 30 and I used a crush sleeve, when I was setting the preload I over shot the max torque setting by 2 to 3 INLBS, I am thinking of running it as is, Am I going to regret this decision or should i redo the preload? I have all the parts just not the time to redo it should i just let it sit till I can get to it or should i chance it?

What was your preload?

New bearings? or old ones?

I agree, a couple of IN/LBS won't make a difference.

IMO, that's too much. I set mine at 18-19 when I regeared.

Ok all is great, after breaking in the gears I drove my Jeep 1100 miles to Denver with no problems from the axels but I did get a wired vib from the trans (auto) and it is getting really hot I have it in a shop out here and they are not having any luck finding the problem.
