Performance thoughts

I have the following installed on my I6:

Cat-back exhaust
K&N FIPK
Jet Module
Throttle body spacer

What would be another good performance add-on in the $100-300 range?

I've haven't yet used headers on my jeep but I will be soon. I've heard good things about several brands but they all should do about the same. Here are a few and prices that I've found.
  • Borla $350
  • Pacesetter $210
  • Clifford Performance ?

The Borla headers are Stainless Steel and should last forever. They do have a warranty for 1 million miles but are a little more than you had mentioned. The Pacesetter headers are black heatproof painted and have a 3 yr limited warranty. They are dual outlet headers but they include the Y-pipe and extension pipe. As for the Clifford Performance Headers, I'm not sure but you can look them up at
null Search the catalog for the part number and a full description of them. Also you should check out the user forums and ask them about them. You might want to post in the other forums which headers are best.
Pacesetter also makes an Armor Coated header that are hi-temp metallic ceramic coated. They cost about $325 for your jeep. Any other questions, just let me know.

If you don't mind, what kind of cat-back did you put on? Are you happy with the results? I need to replace my rusted out muffler and tail pipe (should probably change the cat too, but it is too expensive now) and I'm leaning towards the Dynomax Ultra Flo muffler and Dynomax tailpipe. Has anyone else tried these? Pros, Cons, etc?

Thanks

Does a cat actually do that much that it would warrant spending $100+?

I put just a flowmaster on and didn't notice much of a difference at all, then I put on the carsound cat about 2 months later and I felt the power right away and it only got better when the ecu reajusted itself. In my opinion going to a cat-back isn't worth doing with out the high flow cat.

my buddy has a borla header on his 94 sahara and it's real nice. he had a crack in his manifold, and this was a great choice, it reduced engine noise and improved throttle response. definately a good buy. but i would also recommend some good air intake cuz you have a new toy to get all the exhuast out, now you need something to pump it in.

hey man, if you're lookin for serious performance, get veonom nitrous. it's a fairly easy install and will give you a helluva lot of horses.
