P0052 code please help

2009 liberty 3.7l 4x4 39000 miles
The check engine light came on over a week ago. The code was p0052. I had them reset it and the light went off for 1 day. When I came back on it has disappeared once for a few hrs. The jeep is running great and has no change in mpg.

I checked the wires and they looked fine.
I replaced (bank2,sensor1) passenger side o2 before the cat converter.
I reset the computer and still have a check engine light on.

Maybe I read wrong and I did the wrong o2 sensor? Any suggestions?

Thanks

Check out the other causes for the DTC.

This information is from the 2009 KK factory service manual:

P0052-O2 SENSOR 2/1 HEATER CIRCUIT HIGH

When Monitored:
Continuously during O2 heater operation with battery voltage between 10.4 and 15.75 volts.

Set Condition:
The PCM detects that the O2 sensor heater element input is above the maximum acceptable voltage. One trip fault. Three good trips to turn off the MIL.

Possible Causes
(K199) O2 2/1 HEATER CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN
(Z933) O2 2/1 HEATER GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN
(K199) O2 2/1 HEATER CONTROL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO VOLTAGE
2/1 O2 SENSOR
POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM)

Ok so now I'm at 41000 miles. I replaced the o2 sensor with Bosch. I'm still not having any changes as far as gas mileage. Evey once in a while when idling the rpms will drop for a few seconds. But has only happened 3-4 times.
Now I'm pulling:
P1128
P0032
P0038
P0052
P0058
P0138
P0158
I'm reading that going with the OEM o2 sensors are better then Bosch.
Before I do that though what could cause all these codes. It's just hard to believe that all four could be bad. I've checked the wiring and nothing appears bad. Anyone else ever have this issue and what was the solution. I have searched and only found that some have had some of these codes and am
Yet to see what the solution was.

Thank you

All of those codes are related to O2 sensor operation. And yes, it is likely that all four sensors could be the problem.

In your OP you commented about reading OEM sensors being better. Here's the skinny:

When you buy sensors for your Jeep them being OEM or quality aftermarket is IMPORTANT!! Do not buy cheap import sensors from places like autozone, you'll have issues more often than not. If you do go aftermarket, buy the Echelin brand from NAPA or something equal. IIRC, Rockauto is a good place to buy them from, too.

As for your issue, Bosch O2 sensors are notorious for being an issue on our Jeeps. You should have replaced them with NGK's (OEM). It has been documented many times here about the issues with Bosch O2 sensors. Unfortunately going with NGK may be what you need to do.

Just ordered 4 NTK o2 sensors from rockauto.com 109.80 shipped. Can't complain about that price.

At least you have less codes. Start with a diagnosis, read here:

Well today I plugged in the OBD2 scan tool, and found P0032, P0038, P0052, P0058. I'm thinking the next logical step is to get a new ECM. Where is a good place to order one from? All of the wires and connections look to be in good shape. I cant believe that all 4 o2 sensors, or the wiring went bad.

Got my new PCM from autocomputerexchange.com. Plugged it in, and no check engine light for 10 mins of run time. The problem though was that my electronic throttle control ETC light came on. I had no throttle. haha Got to love refurbed parts. I got someone elses problem. They are shipping me another PCM today. Not a bad price though 189.00 shipped 1 yr warranty. So i guess if at first........... try and try again.

Got another computer (#3) from a different company. And after 30 miles of driving the jeep drives great. No check engine light (yet). So time will tell.
