oil leak from distributer shaft

All of a sudden I am getting a slow leak where the shaft enters the engine. Is their a gasket etc. Can I just try and tighten it or will that mess up timing. It looks like I need to be careful.

Yes there is a gasket on the shaft.

I have replaced the gasket, but it still leaking. any other suggestions.
