Odd sound when in 4hi/4lo?

I went on a short drive last night about 3 miles down the road to get some smokes and I noticed this very slight intermittent (has happened before but only after hitting a large bump in the road and sometimes randomly) wobble/vibration in my steering so i decided to see if it was the balance of the tires so I put it into 4HI and noticed this very slight whirling sound coming from under the jeep, can't hear it with the windows down. Its somewhat louder in 4Lo and after I disengage 4wd from either 4Lo-4Hi it takes about 50-200 feet to shut off with a slight jolt.
I do all the maintenance to the jeep and I have the FSM for my model year, any ideas on what this might be?

Maybe this would be a better question in another forum, I did a search for something similar yet didn't find much.

The transfer case makes more noise in 4Hi and even more in 4Lo.

Never noticed the noise before.. what would make it stick in 4wd and jolt when it disengages after 50-100'? I've had it for 4 years and it has about 65k miles... maybe T-Case just needs new fluid which I already have ATF4.
