No slip eliminator

I have a '05 TJ wrangler that is lifted. The previous owner before put a no slip thingy in the back axel. It isn't a locker but something to help it not slip? Can anyone give me the technical name for what it is and what exactly it does?

No it isn't a SYE. I know what that is and I have one. It is in the back axel. It's called a no slip grip I believe? Can anyone help with this?

Its a limited slip differential
