I have 09 JK 2 in lift with 35 and on the hwy it had no balls. I hit a little incline and loose all power and I am usually at 3k Rpms. Do I need diff gears
I only have that problem with a tired engine and high 2.73 gears. I'm pretty sure this would disappear with 3.08 gears but then again, I need a new engine first. With a 2009 JK there is no way you have that issue so I'm going to say lower gears will help. What do you currently have?
Yea. My buddy had an 09 with 35's then did gears. It helped him but not nearly as much as he thought. He has the auto and should have gone with 5.38's. He did 5.13's. Either way its going to suck for you because your 4 speed is only a 3 speed because your not using OD.

Rubicon or not I'm pretty sure you're moving on a pair of DANA 44's. Anything over 4.88 sounds completely insane to me but then again I have no idea what you actually do or what low gear system you work with(as well as all of them being completely foreign to me). If you're going to install a new 5.13 gearing it's about $258 for the rear and $235 in the front. I have no idea what labor would be if you're actually into paying others to work on your vehicle.
