Here I am again, It seems I only post with stupid problems, but I have another one that I need to get some help with.
Ok so Friday night, I have a full Jeep (4 full grown teens) and well there was this little incident with another driver that severely pissed me off. and me being a ******* driving my first stick shift car, I decided I was going to pop the clutch behind this guy. I did, I know I'm so dumb for doing it and I probably will only ever do it again on grass or mud or dirt/gravel. and not often. So I shift into first and the light turns green I rev the engine a tiny bit around 3 and as I start letting the clutch out I keep giving it more gas, my tires spin. Cool! not. now After that we were driving and I noticed this odd heavy vibration usually in gears 4-6. Now that I've been driving it for a little while since the incident, I've noticed a couple of things.
When there are people on my back bench, it's worse, and the heavier the people are the worse it gets. It idles smoothly, and it coasts smoothly, but vibrates on acceleration. It vibrates the steering wheel, the gear shift, my seats, pretty much the entire car.
Now I don't really know what to look for. I've looked under the car at some suspension components, looked at the drive line. didn't notice anything wrong, but I have a feeling if there was something wrong, I wouldn't really be able to notice it all to well.
Now with two people in the car, it feels like it drives just as it did before, or at least close enough to that. I've got a 2005, 6 speed, 4 liter, with about 80,xxx miles on it. never had the clutch replaced.
I'm going on a trip to PA on sat. and I was hoping that it is something I could do before then, wouldn't want to further damage the jeep by taking it on road trips.
I've read around and saw engine mounts, tranny mounts, drive shafts, u joints. But I'm going to need some help on this one. I've never seen a bad drive shaft, mount or U-joint before.
Any help would be greatly appreciated from you guys.
and for the last time, I know, I'm so dumb
for doing that, especially with a fully loaded car.
