New to the forum and looking for rookie advice...

looking to rebuild my 258 and am interested in seeing pics of very clean motors. I am the proud owner of a 81 CJ-7. Owned it since 04 but have only started a rebuild. floated the rear axle, rhino-lined the tub, and shot it with a quick paint job. Added a Hard top and doors (still need to adjust the doors). This jeep has been from Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, and Alaska with me and I just can't part with it. The Mrs and I just came to an agreement on getting it in shape.

Any help the more experienced jeep owners have would be welcome.

Post in the cj section with some pics and you will get more response. I vote for swapping in a 4.0 cheap to find on craigs list and you can rebuild it while still driving the jeep.

appreciate the response and help with the post. Never looked at a swap for a 4.0. Makes sense to get the build though.

You did a great job on it. Do you have pics after you did the install?
