New engine wont start!

I have a 98 wrangler TJ with the 4 cylinder engine. We went to replace it with a new engine of the exact same size. Everything went without a hitch until I turned the key and nothing happened. There is no sound or reaction when I turn the key. I've replaced the starter and relay and ignition switch. I think I've narrowed it down to a bad ground wire but I'm not sure where all the grounds should go and I'm a terrible electrician. Anything can help. Thanks

Interesting first post.
You can swap out an engine but when it comes to troubleshooting you just throw parts at it?

Obvious hit and run is obvious....

You've definitely got something electrical wrong. Are you getting power anywhere? Is the cluster coming to life when you turn the key to run? This could be something as simple as a bad battery connection. I'd check there first just to eliminate the simple stuff first. I bet you either missed a ground, or have a bad ground connection. Double check and clean them all.
