Mercedes Diesel swap questions

So today i went to purchase a Hard Top for my 93 YJ and scored it for $90
But he also had a Mercedes 300 turbo diesel that he took out of a jeep 2 days prior sitting there. I offered him $100 and he took it!

So i came home with a diesel and a hardtop for $200!
But Im still in highschool and ive been kind of researching this swap before i bought it but im never really getting the answers ive been looking for

BTW im hooking it up to a ax-15 tranny i believe

1) What exactly needs to be modified/changed for it to work?
2) what are good threads and websites that walk you through this swap?\
3) and any other info any of you fellow jeepers have would be appreciated

Think of the price its gonna cost, then double it.
Do LOTS of research, this alone will save you lots of time and money.
There are no step by step directions, so get used to being able to problem solve yourself.
If this is your only transport, you either need to get everything in order ahead of time, or buy another dd for a while.
Quick rundown, although I have not done that particular swap myself...
Fuel system needs to be changed over to diesel. Does the MB have an electric or mechanical pump?
Motor mounts need to be made.
Adapter of some sort for the engine to tranny, or tranny to transfer case. Cheapest and easiest way would be to find a tranny that came with that motor, adn then maybe a transfer case too. Buy all that, sell all your stuff.
Wiring for the new engine/tranny/transfer case.
Exhaust for that turbo (fun!)
So on and so forth.

I would say go back and get everything the donor vehicle had in it. The PO of the Wrangler it came out of had solved all of this so it should all be there. If the original Wrangler never finished the project, there is a reason so I would reconsider doing the swap.

If you do a lot of trail riding with friends or a club, get ready to be the last in line and complaints because of the fumes.

Betting the PO never finished it, thus the sale...
It has been done, but like I said, do LOTS of research.
