low oil pressure in 98 XJ

i am fairly new the site and i havent posted much, just read alot and enjoyed all the great pictures. i have a 89 YJ and my wife has a 98 XJ. my situation is when i come to a stop in the Cherokee, my oil pressure gauge drops to 10 lbs but goes back to nominal (40 lbs) while i am driving. could this be something like the oil pump or what? i am new to the jeep scene so im not sure what the usual things are... some help would be appreciated. thanks!
