Low Idle, Spudder Out, Stall Out!!! HELP

I have a 2000 Jeep Warngler 2.5L 4 Cyl Automatic Transmission. My Jeep has about 170k miles on it and lately has been dipping low with the RPMs when I switch from D to R or vice versa. Also, when I come to a semi-abrupt stop the RPMs will dip real low and the care will shake a bit.

Any ideas on what this might be?

Any thoughts on how I can fix it? Cost?

Thank you very much.

I had the codes read a few months ago, when a similar issue happened, and I had a TPS issue. I bought a new TPS, however, before I installed it my check engine light went off and the issue stopped. I guess I should go ahead and have it installed and have associated parts cleaned out.

Thanks for the help.
