There's a shop down here that has an old Allison V12 airplane engine sitting in the back, a bit big for a Jeep, but I wonder if I could make it fit in a '69 El Dorado? The damn hood on the Caddy is like 8' long, of course the Caddy front wheel drive, hmmm.
lt1 is easy and cheap if you can get all the parts dirt cheap like paying 800 for a lt1
1500 for a nv4500 tranny 1000 for a dana 44 geared out of a waggy radiator for 350
and a atlas 2 for 1800 used plus all the misc can be done for 6k but not all the time
