Largest engine possible

hey this is nate again i was wondering what is the largest engine i could fit in a wrangler yj i have money to spend but keep it reasonable i want to spend no more than 6k

Mags have shown a V10 Viper engine in a TJ. A clubmate of mine has a 454 in a CJ.

There's a shop down here that has an old Allison V12 airplane engine sitting in the back, a bit big for a Jeep, but I wonder if I could make it fit in a '69 El Dorado? The damn hood on the Caddy is like 8' long, of course the Caddy front wheel drive, hmmm.

its ez to get adapters for 302's and 350's


my pick ya so what if its a ford. its 450 hp!!! in a 302 block

add this for good mesure


then go upgrade your entire driveline because you cant run a 190 hp engine with out snaping an axle

lt1 is easy and cheap if you can get all the parts dirt cheap like paying 800 for a lt1
1500 for a nv4500 tranny 1000 for a dana 44 geared out of a waggy radiator for 350
and a atlas 2 for 1800 used plus all the misc can be done for 6k but not all the time
but i can be done
