knocking sound when letting out clutch.

When im letting the clutch out in 1st-3rd there is a knocking sound coming from what i believe is the t-case. what do i need to do to fix it and why is it doing it. my buddy could move the drive shaft back and forth when i would push the clutch in. and if i keep driving it will it mess it up more?

It sounds like it might be the yoke or the joint in the driveshaft if it has a lot of play

#3 & #4 in the diagram.

Have you inspected around those areas?
