I see people talking about their jerk on their Jeep,could anyone tell me exactly what this is and means

I like my jeep as much as anybody, but that sounds like too much personal information to me.

Sure you're not confusing it with "zerk" as in Zerk-fitting? A zerk fitting is a grease point often found in drivetrains.

Well, if we are going to be serious about this, I'll point out that there isn't one zerk on a jeep. For instance stock TJ front ends have seven IIRC, none of which are in the drivetrain which was used as an example. Many aftermarket parts add more. At this point I think I have around 30 between steering, suspension, driveline, etc. So talking about the or a zerk is pretty meaningless without more detail and context.
