Jeep suddenly not running right 04 wrangler 4.0 manual

so today i took a 30 mile trip to get a new fan clutch and throttle posiontioning sensor on my way back to town (after noticing the jeep lagging a bit and not keeping highway speed) the jeep suddenly lagged to almost a halt i limped it home changed the fan belt, fan clutch, and sensor and drove to the mechanic, he said fuel filter or catalitic converter. the vehilce does not want to rev past about 3,000 rpms either. anyone else have a similar problem? any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ronnie.

Do you have a trouble code? Go key on, off, on, off, and on. Do not go to start at any time. Odo will show a code, if any. It's a place to start. There's a sticky listing all the codes in the forum. Hope it helps.
