Install questions for new diff covers

I got two new diff covers (front and rear).

These are both pressed covers. The mounting surface is smooth on both covers.

The D30 cover came with a gasket. The C8.25 cover did not.

Should I use a gasket on both covers? Should I use some type of sealer goop? Like Permatex maybe? Should I use a gasket and sealer goop?

The covers will be used for DD and trails. The might bump some rocks or stumps.

I will be using synthetic diff oil, which I've heard is more prone to leaking.

Please advise on best way to install covers for a good seal with no leaks.

If you have good gaskets like Lube Lockers they work well. RTV works perfectly fine though just messy cleaning up each time you reopen it. Some people use both. That is a real mess to clean up.

What about the regular gasket that came with it?

Also, have anyone heard of "The Right Stuff" gasket sealer sold by Napa?
