I6 forced induction

anyone know of any sort of forced induction for the 4.0?

oh yeah, you can get superchargers, or turbos for them, but you could by a whole jeep for the price of a supercharger, they run about $4,700 and the turbos are around 3 grand, and for the cherokees you would have to cut the hood to fit them, the supercharger your lookin at around a boost from about 190 to 340 hp!, but beware cause they do reduce engine life, and you better make sure your 4.0 doesnt have many miles!

Head to http://www.accuratepower.com for a supercharger that fits under stock XJ hoods. Definitely pretty expensive. Here: http://www.avengersuperchargers.com/ you can find an intercooled supercharger that should make more power but it won't fit under a stock XJ hood. You'd need to cut a hole.

Hesco: http://www.hescosc.com also sells a supercharger kit for the 4.0, under Engine Components in their product catalog. I think it also fits under the stock hood.

thanks! i was gettin to where i wasnt sure anyone would answer. hmm, dont think my wallet would like me if i tried for a 5k blower. expensive is an understatement.
