I have some axle questions

So I currently have a 97" jeep wrangler 4.0L on a 4" suspension lift on 35" tires i have stock axles Dana 35 rear Dana 30 front and stock gears 3.07s.

I was planning on buying Dana 60 semi float rear axle w/ 5.86 gears installed, open 35 spline carrier, no shafts, no brakes, for my rear. He has 2 axles but booth are rear can I convert a rear to a front? Or could I use the Dana 60 with my stock 30 even tho the gears are different?

I get crappy power and badish gas fastest I go on the highway is 55mph.

Please help with some answers and choices

Do you like being able to steer? While anything is doable converting a nonsteering axle to a steering axle is not a minor thing.

5.86 is too deep for 35" tires.

Only if you never put it in 4WD.

Dude, you are not asking the right questions for somebody who is ready for 42s. Good luck.

Search and read. Lots to learn that way. Then you won't ask stupid questions.
