Hp dana 30 : How much higher?

I am considering a HP Dana 30 from ECGS. Did a lot of searching but did not see an answer. How much higher is a High Pinion Dana 30 over the Low Pinion Dana 30? And does this translate into a higher diff bottom?

If there is any difference in the clearance at the bottom of the diff it is minimal. It is driveshaft clearance where you pick up a several inches given the pinion being at the top of the diff rather than the bottom.

Which should help with driveshaft angles on a lifted vehicle right?

The pinion center line is 2.25 inches higher on a HP30 than a LP30.

The higher the pinion, the less severe of a driveshaft angle.

Are you sure it's HP? I didn't know ECGS was selling HP 30s, only LP 30s.

I have an HP30 that they built. I didn't buy it from them directly, but I have a copy of the invoice. IIRC it was purchased from them a couple years ago so doesn't seem like something new.
