How far does a valve body hang into a tranny pan?

Fellow jeepers....I need to modify my tranny pan in order to fit the front driveshaft in my CJ5 and I'm hoping there's a few guys that have worked on Turbo 350's enough to know.

The pic below will show what Im running into. The driveline from my Dana 300 is coming in contact w/ the bottom passnger side edge of the BOTTOM of the pan, not the flange like in some other conversions.

My question: How far does the valve body hang down into the pan?
2nd question: How far in from the passender side edge of the opening is the valve body located?

The plan is to cut that bottom edge of the pan at a 45 deg angle to offer the DL some relief, along with a 4" lift, this should give me enough room for the DL and give it some room to play.
