I did the following to My TJ w/the 2.5 in it

#1,K&N air filter,
#2,performance exhaust system.
#3,removed catalytic converter.
#4,performance plugs,wires&coil.
#5,electronic fan.

My jeep runs way better the when I first got It....It is not as fast as a 6 but I can do 80 MPH. on the highway at 3,000 RPM. & get 19.5 mpg.And 21.0 MPG in the city & this is w/32x11.50 tires & a 3" lift...I am happy w/it.
My jeep sounds like it has four pissed off squirrels under the hood....Good luck.
