Help! Can't disconnect engine......

I finally got those torx bolts off of the transmission bellhousing. Now I'm trying to lift the engine out but no matter what elevation I try, I can't get the damn thing to separate from the tranny. PLEASE HELP!

I have already double checked to make sure nothing is in the way. The engine is currently separated by about 2 inches. It just won't go anymore....

Did you unbolt the torque converter from the flex plate? (if you have an auto), if you have a stick it also helps to ubolt the clutch pressure plate from the flywheel. If you don't, even being only a couple degrees off axis to the tranny input shaft can make it a pain to remove the engine (or trans).
