has anyone gotten their I6 ported

just wondering if anyone has gotten there inline 6 heads ported .. and im wondering how much the machine shop they used charged them.. is 700 dollars a normal price?

I would say $700 is a mid price. I think Artssounds sell some ported heads on E-Bay for a bit less. I think one of the Jeep specialty dealers charged $1000 for a ported head with bigger valves. I did mine my self. It takes about 12 hours of work. Look here for info:

I posted a reply to your personal message. I used an air grinder, an air compressor is needed and I used the deluxe Standard Abbrasive kit. I bought some more grinding bits at the hardware store and had some extra sanding bits from another kit I used many years ago.
