GM 5.3 or 5.9 dodge manual tranny??nv3500?

What are the best donor vehicles for this v-8 swap with a manual transmission? Any come stock with the nv3500??

My 2.5L went to crap on me at 80,000 and I am looking to upgrade to a v-8. The dodge 5.2L or 5.9L swap seems pretty good and the 5.3L GM swap also has been mentioned. I am looking to keep the np231 for the time being (I really donít have the money for an atlas) and am also going to get an 8.8 for the rear. I will need to change the input shaft of the 231 to 23 spline. I would like to keep it a 5 spd and still be able to drive on the interstate with it. It looks like if I pick up a nv3500 it will be good for either GM or dodge swap. I have been on the novak site and looked around a ton, but still havenít figured out which one to go with GM or dodge.

I personally have thought about the 4x4 S10's...they come with a 4.3 V6 and a NV3500. If you dont want a V6 you can put a 350sbc in with the same NV3500 from the S10.

On that note. I recall somewhere that the rear half of the Jeep 231 can be adapted the front half of the Chevy 231 without any problems (although I'm curious as to how the shifter linkage would work (unless this is on the 93 back chevy 231s cause the 94+ use a shifter cable).

What happened to your 2.5l? Do you still have it?
