hey i'm puttin new ring and pinion gears in my 99 wrangler, going with some 4:56's to push my 35's. I was wonderin what company i should get them from there is a buunch what should i go with. Thanks.
Just know that all gear sets are not created equal. Most of the name brands such as Yukon, Superior, Precision, etc. are good gears. Yukon gears are engineered to be tough and run quiet, others are not meant to be all that quiet but the lower price will reflect this. That doesn't mean that the cheaper gears are bad.
I would recommend a call to Randy's Ring and Pinion and ask them for suggestions.
Well I got a set of alloy axle 4.88's for the front and superior 4.88's for the rear... both set up easily and run fairly quiet (too much tire noise to really tell) do you have a manual or auto? I've got a 5 spd manual, and LOVE the 4.88's for mine But it's not for HWY driving
go with yukon gears. you'll shoot a cross pin before you break the R&P
