Gear Shifting

I have an automatic 2000 Grand Cherokee. Lately whenever I come to a stop or slow down to make a turn it's like it shifts into neutral. It will rev up and finally kick into drive. What is the deal?

Check the fluid levels to see if it's low or worn. Automatics start slipping when the fluid gets weak. Also changing your filter with a fluid swap would be a great start.
