Gear ratios

I'm new to all of this so any help would be appreciated. I'm looking to buy 98 wrangler with a 2" BDS lift and 31" tires. The owner says he will include 4.10 axles with it as well. Would putting those on help my gas mileage at all? What benefit do I get from that? Thanks
