Gas Milege cut in half!

I have a 99 Sahara, and for the past couple of months, I have been getting really bad gas mileage. I am lucky if I can go 200 miles on one tank!

We have changed the air filter, we have new tires, and so far nothing has helped.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to check to get my mileage back to where it belongs?

Thanks.

Susan

Sounds like what I get, bout 200 miles on average per tank.

I figure about 13-19 mpg, high end being all high way.

Hmmm....
how many gallons per fill up? Does it seem to run allright? no missing or sputtering??

I'll bet your getting close to 20 mpg and the 10 gallon fill ups are the confusing point...

I have a 20 gallon gas tank, and I put at least 15 gallons in each time I fill up.

We just bought the 31s this weekend. I was driving on the stock 30s. As for my driving, it's a mix of both street and highway. (193 out of Georgetown and Placerville) The engine has plenty of power and responds quickly. We haven't noticed any sputtering or popping. I think the jeep now has 29,000 miles on it. We'll check the plugs, but it might be a heavy foot causing the crappy mileage.
We just moved up here to the high country. No more long- straight - flat highways.
