Front wheel bearing squeal

Yesterday the passenger front wheel on my 79 Cherokee began squeaking which turned quickly into a squeal. I raised the front end and checked for wobble thinking the wheel bearing had gone out but it seems good.
Then I checked the front differential and it was a little low on fluid. When I topped it off I noticed that the existing fluid was yellow and foamy. Any thoughts?

Check the brakes? Common result of a bad pad.
Inspect the bearings? Might be time to take a look at them and regrease.
Inspect the spindle bearings. These are NEVER lubed. While your doing the wheel bearings, may want to drop the spindle and inspect/lube them.
Don't forget to check those u joints while you have it apart.
