Ford 8.8 (C-Clips?)

My buddy has an 8.8 out of a 2002 V8 Ford Explorer with 4.10 gears, disk brakes, and the factory limited slip. How do I find out if this axle has C-clips?

Yes I can almost guarantee it is a c-clipped axle.

All Explorer 8.8s are c-clip.

However, 2001 was the last year you could get one. 2002 and newer Explorers are all IRS.
