forced air induction/manifold vaccum question

If you put a turbo or a supercharger on an engine, what happens to the manifold vacuum? Do you loose it since the intake is being pressurized or is their still vacuum since the air is still moving?

you loose vacuum during boost, and the only time boost is made is when the engine is undera load I.E. in gear trying to move the tires. Vac is restored when the egine is reving down and the pistons begin to draw air in instead of being pushed by boost. Vac is always there when you need it for brakes and such

Ok, That's what I was thinking, so on a carbed engine all the vacuum powered stuff would still work like they should when it was natural aspiration?

Oh, and I see you joined the Extreme Jeepers, Welcome!
