First gear wobble

So my tranny skid plate/ crossmember (stock) was bent upwards a little off roading and now when I am engaging the clutch into first gear the tranny has a "wobble" to it. It isn't terribly violent but deffinatly can hear it and feel it. If I take the skid plate off and straighten it out will that fix it? It has been like this for a while and I haven't had time to fix it but it doesn't seem to be hurting anything and its only first gear and always stops before 1500 rpm at least. Only in first. If I'm not putting very much pressure on it I can almost make it not happen. The motor mounts look good
