Exhaust: Excess Gas smell

I dunno how long this has been going on but I just smelled it tonight. My jeep has a really bad gas smell coming from the exhaust. I dont have any check engine lights and my jeep runs fine.

Could it be a bad Cat?

What else could cause this?

-Mike

By gas smell do you mean you smell gasoline, or exhaust fumes?

How many miles on the engine? Are the valves shot?

its got like 60 thousand on it. The valves make no noise at all. I dunno, I'm just going to change the cat and see if that helps. I have one on order from summit. thanks guys
