Exhaust: Excess Gas smell

I dunno how long this has been going on but I just smelled it tonight. My jeep has a really bad gas smell coming from the exhaust. I dont have any check engine lights and my jeep runs fine.

Could it be a bad Cat?

What else could cause this?

-Mike

By gas smell do you mean you smell gasoline, or exhaust fumes?

How many miles on the engine? Are the valves shot?
