Error Codes, Repairs & Response

Hello All,
I need help with a problem that should have been easy to repair. Ran an errand all was fine. Started car after errand and idle was extremely rough. Went to auto supply store to have codes read. They came back P0300 Multiple misfires, P0301 misfire cylinder 1, P0302 misfire cylinder 2. The first thing I did was change all plugs, gapped at .040. The plug in cylinder one was a little dirty but not very bad. Idle did not improve. At that point I thought maybe injectors so I changed injector one, cleaned all of the other injectors, changed all O rings. While putting everything back together I switched the position of all of the injectors I did change. I also switched the position of all of the coils to rule out bad coils on cylinders 1 & 2. No change idle was still extremely rough. Went back to auto supple store to have codes read again and came up with the same codes. I need help with this. I really can't think of what it might be. I have not noticed any vacuum problems, I don't hear so see anything that would be obvious. I need your help.

I'm in a similar boat as you right now. I wasn't throwing a code, but now after replacing all 8 injectors I still have the problem and a P300, P302 and P305 code now. All of my plugs are good too. Let me know if you figure yours out and I'll do the same if I figure mine out. My voltmeter on my dash is also fluctuating but when checked at the alternator and the battery my voltage isn't fluctuating.

The first thing both of you should check is the spark plug condition and to do a compression check...especially on a 4.7. I have replaced three of them on Durangos.

Spark plugs are good and it is an intermittent problem.

So here is what I have found so far. With some time spent on Google the other night I found a lot of hits pointing to a crank sensor problem. Not knowing the exact location of the sensor I researched some more and found the location to be right behind the starter. Why is that important? The day before my engine miss first occurred I replaced the starter. Last night when I got home I reached up and pushed on the crank sensor connector and went for a drive. No more miss so far. I believe when I installed the starter, I hit the connector slightly disconnecting it.
