Engine codes

How do I pull the engine diagnostic codes on a 1998 Wrangler Sport???

with an OBDII compliant diagnostic scanner

unless Jeep left the ability to flash codes on their OBDII(96+) vehicles. I tend to doubt it. ask the TJ section, and report back here so I know for certain

theres our answer. actron makes an OBDII scantool for about 180 bucks, otherwise youll hafta take it to a garage or find a friend with one.
