Detroit true track

I'm planing on getting lockers one of these days and so far I'm going to run a Detroit True Track in my front, and a detroit locker in the rear. my only question is would it be better to do a detroit locker in the front also or will the true track do better?

My rig is often a daily driver. We have mountains with snow around us in the winter where we like to play. Because of the mountains and my requirments of simplicity and things just working.... I went with the Detroit Locker in the rear and the Detroit True-Trac on the front. The combination works very well under all conditions. Including snow/ice sidehill. The True-trac is pretty benign in the manner that it negatively affects steering/handling. Highly recommend it. Both are bullet proof!

I'd go with a locker in the front too.

You'll only notice it when in 4wd.

If anything, most people tend to put a limited slip in the rear and a locker in the front to retain streetability.

This is right about the same as Wheelin's recommendation, however some reasoning behind my setup as well...

I live where it gets crappy in the winter and its not really that bad, but there are so many people that suck at driving. Not to mention there are just a ton of cars on the road out here in the Chicago suburbs. So, to retain my ability to drive on snow/slush/ice covered roads, I went with a true-trac out back and while I have not done so yet, it is my intention of getting a selectable locker for the front (ARB for me).

Search for Lupinsea and click on his Jeep Mod Reviews link in his signature. He has true-tracs front and rear and I think he is pretty happy with his setup, he has a review at the very bottom of the page the link sends you to.
