dana 44 hub swap???

i currently have a high pinion dana 44 out of a full size bronco but it will not work very well with my drive train as to the fact that is has a driver side differential so iv been looking for someone that has a gm or chevy dana 44 which should have a passenger side differential but none of them have the 5x5.5 lug pattern.
question, can you swap the hubs from the ford axle to the chevy axle in order to keep the 5x5.5 lug pattern? are there any modifications to the axle housing that would need to be done? what about the brakes?
thanks for the help

If you swap knuckles, you'll need to use the appropriate stub shaft with it's hub. Otherwise, read here about swapping spindles and hubs. http://77cj.littlekeylime.com/web_rs44.html
