Dana 44 Drivers side drop questions

i have the opportunity to buy a fully built drivers side drop d44 from a good friend of mine with warn premium hubs, superior chromoly shafts with bushinged u-joints(only one trip on them), superior 4.88 gears, detroit easy locker, high steer knuckles, 1 ton steering made with 1/4in x 1.5in DOM , rubicon express mounting brackets kit. for 900 bucks, first of all the price scares me for all that, but also im just wondering is a drivers side drop bad? a buddy of mine told me to get a passenger but it seems crazy to pass that up, any advice? this may be a dumb question but im just curious.

Don't take advice from your buddy anymore. If you are going to put it in your TJ then you want the drivers side drop. Passenger side drop would be virtually useless.

$900 is too good to be true. Which usually means something.

Another consideration is the width. What vehicle did this axle originally come from?
