I am rebuilding my Cherokee Dana 44 and does anyone know how many spacers i need between my carrier bearings and the carrier itself? i know the shims on the pinion bearing is a guess n check but i dont think the shims on the carrier itself is.

Thanks in advanced

between 1 and 10. Between .03 and .30 ea.

They are there to adjust carrier width and pinion/ring gear offset variance, one diff to the next...

There is no set number, you need depth gauges and dial indicators to get to those specifics
