Dana 35 Noise, when wheel pushed in/out

I have a YJ Wrangler 1992 with Dana 35 C-Clips Rear axle. There is some noise when driving in terrain and the same noise is when I pull the rear wheels in and out. The axle hits the middle pin between the two axles. I have bought new C-Clips, but when messuring the new and old C-clips there are no difference in the thickness. The place in the axle where the C-clips are fitted is slightly thicker. 0,75mm (0,0295inch)more than the C-clips.
Is it the axles there ar worn?
The wheel bearings?
The surface the C-clips lean against?

Thanks,

Frank Christiansen

I don't know of a measurement, it feels like a lot when it moves in and out.
