Dana 30 ZJ vs XJ

I have a 94 ZJ with U-joints. Now most ZJs have CV joints from all the other forums I read. Are these U-joints I have the same as in a XJ of similar year?

I would say probably. You want the better 760 u-joint. What transfer case do you have? I bet you have the 242 case?

A 94 XJ will have 2 u joint sizes.

260x and 297x(w/ ABS).

Yes. The 95+ and abs Cherokees had the 297 ujoints which are the same size as the 760 joints found in the chromoly kits. The 260's aren't terrible if they're maintained. Most of the time if you have good ujoints regardless of size, the shaft will snap first. Unless you have a locked front and and like doing tight donuts in dry parking lots in 4 low. Then you will go through them like toilet paper.
