I believe Dana 60s can use pretty much any ratio up to 5.38's. What ratio are you looking for? What setup are you running?

I am currently in the planning stages. I am thinking about running D60 with 44 inch tires.

Nope, you can also get 6.17 and 7.17 gears for a D60 although anything over 5.38I beleive is considered industrial and not as quiet.

I've seen 44's run on a Jeep with gearing from 4.56 up but it all depends on what engine/tranny/TC you are going to use...

The spicer book I have shows a 5.86 also. It really depends on what front end you use. If you use a ford high pinion you are limited to 5.38 according to this book. There may be some lower gears for them from another company.

I really think I will go with dynatrac axels. 5.86 might be close enough.

What size tires are you going to run because 5.86 gearing is good for 42"+ Tires. Why not run a lower and more standard gear and get an Atlass II or Tera-Low for a better low range output?
