Cummins YJ

Cummins 4BT YJ !!!!! this looks like a clean install, something I have always been interested in coming from a diesel background.

Thats awesome. Putting the little for banger Cummins seems to be a semi-popular mod to put into YJs. Theres been a few people who've done it. Its nice they are keeping it Mopar.

You want diesel power, try this. A GM 6.5 ltr Turbo Diesel in a YJ. That's the same engine as a military HUMVEE!!!

Yes and no. In comparison to a cummins or powerstroke of the era, ya they sucked powerwise. But the 6.2/6.5 was never designed as a power diesel. They were inteded only as an alternative fuel motor for the gas 350. If you look at the stock power levels between the 2, they were pretty similar.

They can be built to around 300hp, but it takes some work.

"The only time engine heat becomes a problem is while idling in traffic for extended periods of time."

That makes it not practical offroad. You should be able to idle along slowly all day if you had to.

I like this one better.
