coolant flush

bought the prestone radiator flush kit but I realized it involves cutting one of the radiator hoses which has me on the fence about doing it. is there any other option or bypass that doesn't involve doing something permanent to the system?

Its not that bad. Ive cut my hose. .......... my motor did blow up later though??? Hmmmm................

I'm not expecting a blown up engine but I dont know how strong or sealed the valve is that goes on to the hose. hence why I am on the fence about it. now if it was a coolant filter with a metal shut off valve like the how to shows for that set up, Id be fine but this set comes with what looks like a plastic one

My engine really did blow up...unrelated though. lol The hose and plastic fitting has held up fine though

So after flushing the system do you just cap the t-fitting and call it good?

If your worried why not replace the heater hose afterword? The heatercore in my truck blew so I bypassed It with the tee. a zillion miles later its fine.

BTW depending on the miles you have maybe you should replace ALL of the hoses, belts, etc.
